Helpful Hints
[Go Back to Home]
Since we want this site to be accessible to all who approach, we wanted to provide a few helpful hints. We have attempted to set up this site for text browsers, such as Lynx, as well as graphical browsers, such as Netscape and Internet Explorer.
Sometimes it takes a while for pages to load into your computer. If you are only interested in text, and not the graphics, there is a way to shut off all pictures. You will find the directions to do this, in the Preferences or Options section of the browser you are using. When you shut off images, usually there is a descriptor of what the image is. You won't see the picture but you will see the descriptor.
The latest versions of Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer are available for download, free of charge. If you want to download either, click on their buttons that are on our home page. Both browsers do a good job at "browsing" the World Wide Web (one part of the internet), and both have email and newsgroup (two more parts of the internet) capabilities. It's really up to you to determine which one is your favorite.
Remember, as you are browsing and/or navigating
- bookmark the places you want to visit again.
- use the hypertext links to get back to where you were, or to where you want to go next. The BACK button of the browser's tool bar will always get you back to the previous page. (If you click on the links on this page, the links will take you to a "glossary" which will further define the terms that are underlined.)
- click on the "home" or "homepage" link to go back to the first page of this site
- most importantly - ENJOY and please provide us some FEEDBACK
We'd really appreciate your signing our Guestbook.
