Elaine's Easy Fudge


Ingredients

1-3/4 cups sugar

1 5 oz. can evaporated milk (2/3 cup)

2 tbsps. butter or margarine

dash of salt

1-1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

22 marshmallows (quartered) or 220 miniature marshmallows

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1 tsp. vanilla


In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt. Bring to a boil over MEDIUM heat. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat. Immediately add chocolate chips and marshmallows. Stir until chips and marshmallows are melted. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Spread into buttered 9 x 9 pan. Cool. Cut into squares.
