Amazon.com Shipping Information

Amazon.com offers a number of shipping options for both domestic and international customers. You can select a shipping method that provides the right combination of price and speed to meet your needs.

An important fact about Next Day Air and other express shipping methods:

How many shipments will we make to satisfy an order?

The following links will take you to information about shipping prices and times. Choose your destination.

U.S. Shipping Information
(includes APO/FPO addresses, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa)

Shipping times listed reflect the time it takes for the package to travel from our warehouse to your door. To determine how long it will take for your package to arrive from the moment of your order, add the availability time to the shipping time.

(Availability) + (Shipping Time) = Total Delivery Time

For example, an item marked as "Usually shipped within 2 to 3 days" and upgraded to 2nd Day Air will usually leave our warehouse on the 2nd or 3rd business day and reach you on the 4th or 5th business day.

Standard shipping for APO/FPO packages is via U.S. Mail or U.S. Priority Mail.

Shipping Information for other addresses served by the USPS as domestic destinations (except Puerto Rico and American Samoa)

Packages to Guam and all U.S. protectorates and territories may be shipped only via USPS Priority Mail (our standard shipping) or, for express mail, via DHL Worldwide Express International. This means that for standard shipping these addresses are considered U.S. addresses, and for priority mail these addresses are considered international and are subject to any duties and customs which may apply.

A note about standard shipping: Packages sent via standard shipping go by surface mail. Shipping time varies widely depending on destination. In our experience, standard shipments take about 2 to 3 weeks to Canada, 6 weeks to the United Kingdom, 6 to 8 weeks to Japan and Australia, and 10 to 12 weeks to Brazil, to name a few.

What about customs?
We mark international packages as containing "Books--New" and state the cost of the books on the customs documentation; if the order is a gift, the package is marked "Gift," but the cost of the books is still stated on the customs form. Currently, we are not able to describe the contents in any other way.

Any customs or import duties are levied once the package reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you may want to contact your local customs office for further information.
